I am an editor and color grader, based in London. Since I started in 2009, I have worked on five short films, namely JUMP! , Robbing Peter, Mr Lewis, Narke and Candid. I have also produced a “making of” documentary, graded a music video for She Makes War, two fashion videos for Paolo Zerbini and have edited two music videos and a promo for the ensemble Classico Latino. My main tools are AVID Media Composer, Final Cut Pro, Apple Color and Davinci Resolve, the latter used with the Tangent Wave. I have gained extensive experience with the RED and XDCAM workflows and have quite a bit of knowledge in the area of VFX, though I am solely focused on editing and grading. I also know my way around encoding for web, DVD and Blu-ray output.
While I enjoy keeping up with the technical side of my job, my main interest lies in the narrative and visual aspects of the work, as well as the creative collaboration with the director, cinematographer and producer. I feel that my background in humanities is pretty useful in this regard. I am fluent in both English and German and have some French skills as well.
At the moment I am working as a color grader for a post house in London, but – depending on the nature of the project and my schedule – I am also available to work on labours of love, especially as an editor. If you are interested in working with me, please send me an email and we can have a chat.
P.S. The picture at the top is from one of the most beautiful films I’ve ever seen -
Bernardo Bertolucci’s Il Conformista, cinematography by Vittorio Storaro.
